Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Learn with BYA (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. The service

Learn with BYA is an online learning platform offering lessons, resources, and an AI assistant (“Babagana · AI”) that responds in the teaching voice of Babagana Yahaya Aminu. You can also request 1:1 sessions with the real Babagana.

The AI is not the real Babagana. It is an automated tool that generates responses, and it speaks on his behalf only as a teaching aid — not as the person himself.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
The service is intended for adults and educators; it is not directed to children under 13.
The free tier requires subscribing to our YouTube channel; you may unsubscribe at any time, which may affect access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using the service.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you’re not authorized to.
Abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass usage limits or access gates.
Use the AI to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or to impersonate others.
Resell or redistribute lessons, resources, or other content without permission.

4. AI-generated content

Responses from Babagana · AI are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are for educational purposes and are not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice. Verify anything important before relying on it. You’re responsible for how you use AI output.

5. Bookings & 1:1 sessions

Session requests are just that — requests. They’re confirmed only when approved, and times may be proposed, rescheduled, or declined. Please give reasonable notice if you can’t attend a confirmed session.

6. Plans, payments & cancellation

A free tier is available as described above.
Where a paid plan (“Companion”) is offered, payments are processed by Paystack; by subscribing you authorize the applicable recurring or one-time charge.
Prices and plan features may change; we’ll reflect changes on the account page.
You can cancel a subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual property

The service and its content — lessons, videos, resources, branding, and software — are owned by Babagana Yahaya Aminu or licensed to us, and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content for your own learning. Anything you submit (e.g. your goals or messages) remains yours, but you grant us the rights needed to operate the service.

8. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties (e.g. Google/YouTube, Supabase, OpenRouter, Paystack, Resend) and may link to external sites. Their terms and policies govern their parts, and we’re not responsible for them. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn with BYA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service. On termination, the rights granted to you here end.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
